How long in this economy does it take to find acceptable employment? My neighbor who does customer service was between jobs for 5 months. On TV, they had a marketing executive who was unemployed for a year. How deep in despair do we get? All of us have thresholds... what we will do to land a job. Some people will dye their hair or spend thousands of dollars for plastic surgery to look younger. Others go back to school for retraining. Some, like me, just try to hope... if there is such a thing, and survive from day to day.
Employers are very specific about what they want. They also have time on their side to wait for the ideal candidate to walk through their door. In the meantime, I patiently wait, as I know that my opportunity will come.
