While dumbing down may to some seem like a "quick fix," at the point I am in my career, it would be a poor strategy. Many people have viewed my profiles on the Internet, read some of the articles that I have written and have vetted my credentials. I would be advertising that there is something wrong with me that I cannot pick a direction and focus on accomplishing my end state goal. That would show lack of leadership on my part. From my experience, ( and I'm certain from yours as well) companies seek out critical thinkers who are not afraid to offer solutions to their problems. That's the road less traveled that takes courage and faith in God to walk.
